Alison LaCroix received her B.A. summa cum laude in history from Yale University in 1996 and her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1999. She received her Ph.D. in history from Harvard University in 2007, after earning an A.M. in history from Harvard in 2003. While in law school, Ms. LaCroix served as essays editor of the Yale Law Journal. From 1999 to 2001, she practiced in the litigation department at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. Before joining the University of Chicago faculty, she was a Samuel I. Golieb Fellow in Legal History at New York University School of Law.
Ms. LaCroix's teaching and research interests include legal history, federalism, constitutional law, privacy, and federal jurisdiction and procedure.
