James E. Clark
James Clark is a partner in Sidley Austin LLP's Chicago office. His practice focuses on commercial law with emphasis on financial institutions and hedge funds as credit providers. He is Co-Chairman of Sidley’s Committee on Professional Responsibility.
Mr. Clark is coauthor of Legal Developments in Secured Financing. He was a member of the faculty for Financing Leveraged Buyouts and Acquisitions held by the Practicing Law Institute and a member of the Board of Contributors of The Bankruptcy Strategist. He was also Chairman of the Acquisition Financing Subcommittee of the Commercial Financial Services Committee of the American Bar Association Business Law Section. He is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
Mr. Clark received his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 1976 and his A.B. from Brown University in 1970.
