Richard Holden

Richard Holden is Professor of Economics at the University of New South Wales and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He received a PhD in economics from Harvard University in 2006 and has been a faculty member at MIT and the University of Chicago. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics with first-class honors from the University of Sydney, where he was the university medallist.

His research focuses on contract theory, political economy and law & economics. He currently serves as an editor of the Journal of Law and Economics. Prior to graduate school Holden worked with Bain & Company and Bain Capital.
