Jim Foorman is Senior Managing Director and General Counsel of Guggenheim Capital, LLC, which he joined in 2001. Guggenheim is a privately-owned diversified financial services company, providing capital markets, investment management and advisory services to institutions and individuals. Prior to joining Guggenheim, Jim served as Deputy General Counsel of Bank One Corporation. He joined Bank One’s predecessor, First Chicago Corporation, in 1974 and held various positions as legal counsel to that organization in the United States and abroad. He has lectured and taught at various institutions and programs and has written articles on a variety of financial, regulatory and commercial law topics. Jim holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a member of the Bar of the State of Illinois.
