Alan D'Ambrosio is a partner based in the New York office of McDermott Will & Emery, and devotes significant time to client matters in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. His practice focuses on international corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, energy transactions, and international arbitrations.
For more than 30 years, Alan has actively represented clients and managed client relationships in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He has acted as principal counsel to corporations, and negotiated and structured complex business transactions in these geographies.
Alan has handled mergers and acquisitions; major commercial and corporate matters; trade, project, and infrastructure finance; sovereign debt; complex intellectual property and information technology matters (including outsourcing matters); and multinational litigation and arbitration matters.
Alan has been recognized as a leading practitioner by Chambers US and other national and international groups.
Before joining McDermott, D'Ambrosio was a Capital Partner at Winston and Strawn from 1999 to 2003 and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe from 2003 to 2012. Prior to his tenure with Winston, he served as the Managing Partner of Reed Smith Shaw & McClay LLP's New York office from 1994 to 1999 and as a partner at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis from 1990 to 1994.
He is admitted to practice before various District Courts and Federal Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
