Xin Dai

Dai is a J.S.D. student in the law school and his primary areas of research interests include legal theories, constitutional law, comparative law and law and economics. He will be teaching Chinese for Lawyers in the autumn quarter of 2013 and Chinese for Business Lawyers in winter 2014.

Before coming to Chicago, Xin was an associate in the Asia Corporate Practice Group of Shearman & Sterling’s Hong Kong office, working primarily on international capital markets transactions (including equity and debt securities offerings) as well as other U.S. securities law-related matters. He also worked with Shearman’s Merger & Acquisition Group in its New York office.

Xin received his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law in 2009 and his LL.B. degrees in law and in sociology from Peking University in 2006.
