Sarah Conly

Prof. Conly got her BA from Princeton and her MA and Ph.D in philosophy from Cornell.  Following graduate school she taught at the University of Michigan.  After a long break from academics, she joined the Philosophy Department at Bowdoin College in 2006.  Since then she has had fellowships at Harvard University’s Safra Center for Ethics and the St. Andrews University Centre for Ethics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs.  She is the author of Against Autonomy:  Justifying Coercive Paternalism (Cambridge University Press, 2013.)
