John Collins

John Collins received his B.S. with high honors in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 1986 and his J.D. from the Law School in 1989. Mr. Collins was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom from 1989-1991 before working as an Assistant United States Attorney, Criminal Division from 1992-1997. He served as the General Counsel for the United States Soccer Federation from 1997-2001. Mr. Collins was a partner in the litigation department of the Chicago office of Jenkens & Gilchrist and chair of its Sports, Entertainment and Media practice group. He currently represents a number of domestic and international sports organizations and elite amateur and professional athletes.
