James Burnham

James Burnham graduated from the law school with high honors in 2009. Following law school, James clerked for Chief Judge Alex Kozinski on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He now works in the Chicago office of Jones Day. 

During law school, James was the Online Editor of The Law Review and the Vice President for Speakers for the law school's Federalist Society chapter. He also worked as a research assistant to Professor Epstein and was a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Clinic in its inaugural year. In the clinic, James drafted briefs and argued in the Chicago federal courts, culminating with an oral argument as an amicus in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
