Shyam Balganesh received his J.D. from the Yale Law School in 2007, where he was an Articles and Essays Editor of the Yale Law Journal and a Student Fellow at the Information Society Project (ISP). Prior to that he spent two years as a Rhodes Scholar at Balliol College, Oxford, and received a B.C.L. (2004) and an M.Phil. (2005) in legal philosophy from Oxford University. His undergraduate education was at the National Law School of India, where he received a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree in 2003 and clerked for Justice (later Chief Justice) V.N. Khare of the Supreme Court of India. His research and teaching interests include copyright law, property law, intellectual property, property theory, internet regulation, and legal philosophy.
