Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project Faculty Meet with Delegation form Turkmenistan

On May 22, Clinical Professors Herschella Conyers and Randolph Stone of the Mandel Clinic's Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project met with a delegation from Turkmenistan. The objective of the delegates’ visit was to observe and study American best practices in Juvenile Justice.  This program was part of an exchange program administered by the Council of International Programs (CIP Chicago), a nonprofit organization that promotes global understanding through professional development and cultural exchange. This current visit was sponsored by Open World Leadership Center, which is designed to enhance understanding and capabilities for cooperation between the United States and the countries of Eurasia and the Baltic States by developing a network of leaders in the region who have gained significant, firsthand exposure to America’s democratic, accountable government and free-market system.
