Social Service Project

The Social Service Project is now closed.

The Social Service Project includes students working on their Master's Degree in Social Work at the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago.

Project goals:

  1. Educate law and social work students regarding the importance of understanding clients within a broader social context.
  2. Enhance clients' ability to develop and attain psycho-social goals while assisting the legal team in reaching identified legal goals.
  3. Facilitate change by engaging in systemic advocacy.
  4. Promote effective interdisciplinary collaboration between social workers and lawyers as well as highlight the importance of involving well trained social workers in the legal environment.
