Participation
The Chicago Law Partners Program operates on a point system that allows firms to choose a level of membership and then to sponsor one or more events:

Level Contribution Partnership Points
Platinum Partner $10,000 + (10 or more points)
Gold Partner $5,000 (5 points)
Silver Partner $1,000 (1 point)

The program guide indicates the "Partnership Points" required for a Chicago Law Partner to host a particular event. For example, a Platinum Partner with 10 points could choose to host the Orientation Boat Cruise (5 points) and Minority Students Reception (3 points), an International Law Society lunch (1 point), and the Law Review's Welcome Breakfast (1 point). Chicago Law Partners can also take advantage of advertising opportunities in the student newspaper, The Phoenix; the Student Phone Book; and the Law School Musical Program on a cost-per-page basis.

To become a Chicago Law Partner, begin by reviewing the listing of partnership benefits and the program guide to determine your desired level of participation. Finally, complete the registration form found at the end of the program guide.   Once a Chicago Law Partner registration form is received, a representative from External Affairs or the administrative office in charge of the specific event will call you to arrange the details of the event.

We will do our best to match interested Law Partners with appropriate events throughout the academic year as opportunities arise.  For events for which multiple firms are interested in sponsorship, partner firms at the highest levels of participation will be given preference.  If another Chicago Law Partner at the same partnership level selects the same event(s) as you, we will grant sponsorship opportunities on a first-come-first-serve basis or encourage co-sponsorship where appropriate.

The Law School Office of External Affairs administers the Chicago Law Partners Program.  As part of this process, we will ensure that all student groups receive support by pooling a portion of the total sponsorship funds and using surplus funds for scholarships and other student-centered expenditures. All unallocated sponsorship funds will be put toward the Law School's Annual Fund at the end of the fiscal year. Chicago Law Partners will receive additional recognition in the Law School's annual Honor Roll of Donors listing.
