Jenner & Block Partner David J. Bradford, '76, was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization in America.  He was inducted in a ceremony during the ACTL’s recent Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.

United Continental Holdings announced this week that Brett J. Hart, '94, will become its senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.  Hart will join the company by Dec. 15.

The National Bar Association has named Jennifer Fisher '98, General Counsel at Marshall & Swift/Boeckh one of its "Top Lawyers Under 40" and honored her with its Innovation Award. “The award is for attorneys that leverage technology and other innovative approaches,” she explains.

Appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg to lead the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Commissioner Caswell F. (Cas) Holloway, '02, took office on January 1, 2010. Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief of Staff to Deputy Mayor for Operations Edward Skyler and as Special Advisor to Mayor Bloomberg.

Lisa Scruggs, '98, a partner at Jenner & Block, has been named to Crain's Chicago's "40 Under 40" list for 2010. She is just one of four people honored in the "Law/Utilities" category. The Crain's website features a description of her practice as well as a video interview.

Robert H. Sitkoff, '99, the John L. Gray Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, was elected an Academic Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a national professional organization of approximately 2,600 lawyers who specialize in trusts and estates.

John G. Levi, Chairman of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) Board of Directors, has announced that David H. Hoffman, '95, has been named to LSC's Special Task Force on Fiscal Oversight.
