Farella Braun & Martel adds attorney Tiffanie De Liberty, former vice president and senior counsel for the Kendall-Jackson family of companies, to the firm as special counsel.  De Liberty joins in the St. Helena and San Francisco offices and will focus on alcohol and beverage industry issues, including work with the firm's hallmark wine practice.

Cozen O'Connor announced that Kevin T. Kerns has joined the firm as a member of the commercial litigation department in Philadelphia. Kerns joins from Dechert, where he was a partner in the antitrust/competition group.

Chicago Inspector General David Hoffman said today he is resigning his watchdog role to seek the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.

Hoffman told the Chicago Tribune that he is resigning officially today and told Mayor Richard Daley of his decision on Tuesday. He declined further comment.
