Stephanie Blum '99 to Join the Department of Homeland Security

Stephanie Blum will begin a new job with the Department of Homeland Security where she recently accepted a position in the agency's Office of General Counsel.

Stephanie earned a master's degree in homeland security in 2008 from the Naval Postgraduate School. She turned her thesis on the preventive detention of terrorists into a book published by Cambria Press in 2008.

This fall Stephanie plans to see yet another paper published in the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and will also be teaching a graduate course on criminal justice and terrorism at Michigan State University.
