Stephanie Blum will begin a new job with the Department of Homeland Security where she recently accepted a position in the agency's Office of General Counsel.

Stephanie earned a master's degree in homeland security in 2008 from the Naval Postgraduate School. She turned her thesis on the preventive detention of terrorists into a book published by Cambria Press in 2008.

Bob specializes in household labor & employment and tax issues, and the magazine selected the attorneys based on their Avvo rankings.

Gregory F. Jacob joined Winston & Strawn's Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the labor and employment practice.  Most recently, Jacob served as the Solicitor of Labor, the chief legal officer and third-ranking official of the U.S.

Byron Rodriguez, formerly with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, represents borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions with a focus on tax-advantaged debt and equity capital structures. His real estate developer clients combine tax-exempt bond, low income housing tax credit and new market tax credit financing with conventional financing sources for a variety of project types.

Ruth L. Ramsey recently was appointed Vice President of Liberty Bank & Trust of New Orleans. She joined the company as general counsel in August 2008. Ramsey is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Chicago Law School.
