Chris Roach '00 Named "Volunteer of the Year" by Tampa Anti-Domestic Violence Group

Adams and Reese Special Counsel Chris Roach, in the firm’s Tampa office, received Are You Safe’s 2012 “Volunteer of the Year” Award at the organization’s fourth annual “The Purple Party” banquet, held on September 20th at the Tampa Club.
Roach received the award for his pro bono work with the organization, including obtaining a domestic violence injunction on behalf of one of the organization’s referral clients two years running
In addition to Roach receiving the “Volunteer of the Year” award, Adams and Reese attorneys Don Mihokovich and Eric Partlow also received “Pro Bono Service” awards in recognition of their pro bono work for domestic violence victims.
The mission of Are You Safe is to provide legal and social services to victims of domestic violence. In addition to pro bono service, Adams and Reese is also a financial sponsor of Are You Safe.
Adams and Reese attorneys in the Tampa office work with Tampa nonprofit Are You Safe, made up of local attorneys united in stopping domestic violence in the Tampa community by providing legal services to victims of domestic violence and assisting them in the legal process and domestic disputes.
This is the second consecutive year in which Adams and Reese received an award from Are You Safe as Adams and Reese received a “Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year” award from Are You Safe at last year’s awards banquet.
At Adams and Reese, Roach concentrates his practice in civil, commercial, tort, and real property litigation. His practice allows him to represent clients in a wide range of business litigation matters including breach of contract disputes, foreclosures and evictions, antitrust matters, qui tam cases, construction litigation, as well as white collar criminal defense.
In 2011, Roach was the Tampa office’s recipient of the Adams and Reese HUGS “Volunteer of the Year” award for his community service to organizations throughout the Tampa area.
