Parking
Street Parking:  Street parking is available throughout the campus community. Street parking is free of charge and does not require a permit. Be sure to note the following restrictions when parking:

  • Handicapped accessible only
  • CTA bus stops
  • Parking too close to pedestrian cross walks or stop signs
  • Temporary "No Parking" signs for special events, street cleaning or construction
  • Other posted "No Parking" signs

Students should also note that street parking can take longer to find after 8:00 a.m., and becomes more difficult during the winter when snow accumulations encroach parking areas.

Permit Parking: The University Parking Office manages several permit parking lots. After August 1, the Parking Office will have better information about permit parking availability for the fall quarter.

Students must go in person to the Parking Office to obtain a parking permit. Parking assignments, and the waitlist, will be issued during the second or third week of September. At the time of issuance, students must have their Chicago Card.
