Market Series: The D.C. Legal Market

Interested in working in Washington, DC? Come to this program about the DC legal market featuring Dan Binstock, partner at Garrison & Sisson, a DC legal recruiting firm. Prior to becoming a legal recruiter, Mr. Binstock practiced intellectual property law with Finnegan Henderson, a national intellectual property boutique based in Washington, DC. The program will cover including law firm hiring and practice areas; the unique interplay of private law firms and federal agencies in DC; and issues students often face when looking for 2L positions in DC such as establishing geographic ties to the market and showing an interest in regulatory work before you have had the opportunity to take any relevant coursework. Mr. Binstock encourages students to bring their questions to lead the discussion.  This program is primarily targeted to 1Ls, but any student interested in working and living in DC at some point in the future should attend.
